He wrote one on the afghan war that was required reading for those fighting inAfghanistan. I mean literally sgts told their men to read it. His schtick was the usual Ancient Greek cavalry was just a bunch of English squaddies, but the Afghan Campaign and the Virtues of War are very readable and do give a well-researched historical overlook. I bet you couldnt go into a US or UK barracks and not find his books back in the day. Harry known as the former Prince probably read him.
