This is pretty great, Pete. Maybe be more specific and mention the Lab and Huddles though? I admit I found myself skimming the writers' clubs history because it was a bit long. And 'sausage factory' sounds rude!

It's great!

Minor points:

"not just another website that sells expensive courses" - the "just" could be interpreted as meaning Litopia also sells expensive courses.

Pop Up Submissions section - "Plenty of people told us not to bother." - Imo, between that and the next paragraph, you could add "But . . ."

"Rise of writing course industry is recent. It began in the early 1960's" - for many, this will make them stumble because, to them, 1960's is not recent. You could just say, "rise of writing course industry began in the early 1960s."

"Instead, we use today's technology to enable writers" - I would tread carefully with the wording because "today's technology" could be interpreted as AI.

Apart from that, I think it's really interesting!

I'm with Claire in that the history of critiques is interesting, but lost me. It needs a thread filled with, um, cookies to get the reader through to the punchline. The centred 'let's say at the outset' chunk at the top is also quite wordy and could use a stiff edit. In fact, the text as a whole could stand to lose 10% of its words.

The content is spot-on, though. Good stuff.
