I can't settle if I'm very anxious. I know what you mean. The state of a loved one has been a worry recently. But as for 'the world', no. It's always in an anxious state, whether we're aware of it or not, personally threatened or inconvenienced or not, as old certainties shift. Uncertainty or downright threat. The very food of many writers. I see no coming cataclysm. But I'm grateful not to live in Gaza.
