Chris survived. In the end, because the actor couldn't be trusted not to grab the blowing iron by the hot end while delivering his lines, they got Chris dressed up like him as a body double. They got all the necessary footage in one day, and today they were going to strike the set. They called in the morning saying not to come because it was over 46 degrees and too dangerous to work.
