My sister lives in Australia and is about half an hour from the fires, so they are not overly concerned yet. Trouble is their house backs straight onto the bush of a national park. Apparently, they haven't had rain for weeks so everything is very dry .

Oh yes, the wildlife :( Apparently people are writing phone numbers on horses in case they need to be let loose. Hopefully, it's all precautionary. But it's very gusty and hot :(
