There was a time, back in the pioneering days of the late noughties and early tens, when Twitter was a great place. Lots of writers, arty types and musos were early adopters.

Now sadly it's become overrun and infested by shouty keyboard warrior nutcases just waiting to pounce on anything they disagree with or don't understand.

Twitter still has its delights, I've certainly made some useful connections, found handy resources and got a lot of info and entertainment via my feed.

But the toxic side is often overwhelming.
