Surely this is crazy, in all the details? Just wrong.
She is an Irish citizen, so how would the UK government have any sort of legal basis for doing this? I'd think she can spend her money any way she wants.
I won't get into whether the UK would (ill-advised at least) and certainly not into whether they should (words totally fail me)...
