I almost fainted!! But my book isn't published so i couldn't give him a copy, but I did tell him about it. Which is funny because his books are a HUGE inspiration for my series. I actually use his books in my query as the comparison.

Yes I'm following him social media, but no I didn't get his email because I won't have a copy for years.

Ask him for his email and talk to him there too, he may be happy to read it before it's done

Well that time has passed now anyway. He was there for a book signing and browsing around the store when I found him. I didn't want to intrude on his personal time. Frankly I was just thrilled he asked me what my book was about!

Oh my gosh, if I saw HP Lovecraft walking around a store...
