Really resonated with the chronic illness theme, being disbelieved by doctors and going mad in a bedroom. I'll certainly be looking this story out (although I do know how it ends now...)

Talking about exclamation marks, for years, I couldn't read Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None because there were so many exclamation marks, it felt like shouting in my head. Thankfully, Audible became popular because I listened to it, and I'm so glad I got to enjoy it. It's a corker.

Yeah, exclamination marks. I can't stand it when I read a traditionally published book by a writer with a top agent and a major publisher, where the rules are broken. I have been told more than once by editors etc., don't say 'then he turned', or 'and then he turned'. Just say 'he turned'. BUT!!!! I'm reading one of those books now where the writer uses a lot of 'then' and a few 'and thens'. URGH!!!!
