• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

In an effort to build my brand and authority I recently joined PodMatch. This is a smart platform which matches podcast guests with hosts and vice versa. I was a bit skeptical at first, but was recommended it by a PR agency I couldn't afford (who admitted this is what they actually use and mark it up for their clients). Although the system uses AI to match you based on your interests, everything about it is human: from guests to hosts and customer service. It runs pretty good so far with smart navigation and I've already been booked on 4 shows for the coming months. There are some very interesting hosts there which I found easy. Subscription to the platform is paid about $30 per month. Still a lot cheaper than a PR agency...
