Fanfare! Chuffed at being longlisted!

Back in maybe February I entered a competition on a whim but I was chuffed to receive an email this morning informing me I’ve been longlisted for the Novel Beginnings competition.

And it goes without saying that it’s down to the fantastic feedback and support from my fellow Litopians. Thank you all.

"No doubt"? No. Your writing is not outer-lane, back-of-the-pack word salad. You have a great voice and a strong story.

Hey, there are all sorts of reasons you might not get chosen for first. Getting long-listed tells yu more than winning which is as dependent on all the variables just as getting published is. But getting into the running-that tells you, you made someone want to read you. Hold that to your chest and never let it go.

And it’s all down to fellow Litopians, that I have been long listed at all. If it wasn’t for the Lab and receiving (and giving) feedback from you guys, my writing wouldn’t have been in the shape it is now.
