I’m currently writing a page for the Author Platform (it’s still in beta, folks) about the growth of Litopia and where we stand when compared to other websites that give you the hard-sell for expensive writing courses.
Researching our evolution, I realize that I need to correct something. I’ve often said that Litopia “was founded in 1999” or similar. While that’s accurate in terms of the dot com (registered Feb 1999) and the registered trade mark (August 1999) the Colony itself only got going in 2005. So in public-facing material, I’ve decide to use the later date, simply because it’s more accurate. Therefore, we’re actually 21 years old
If you see any usage of the 1999 date, do let me know and I’ll get it changed.
