• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence
    • Don't take offence

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

There are several new items in “My Menu” this weekend… including “My Updates” and “My Books”, two items we didn’t have before.

You can use these (and all) functions of the Platform without worrying about losing your precious data, but you should know that we’ve been focusing on functionality rather than design, i.e. these and a few other areas are not looking their best at the moment! That will happen soon.

If you’re not quite sure how to use anything, the very comprehensive Help Guide is kept constantly updated, and hopefully it’s an easy, accessible and comprehensible read:
