Just introducing myself! Online I tend to go by the pseudonym 'enistello', but you can call me Joe. It's great to be here, and I feel lucky to have landed somewhere that's been an online community for so long. Litopia/The Colony seems to be similar to what the internet used to be like: a collective run by its members, for members' benefit and mutual learning. You know, before everything became monetised.
I've written a novel that I'm hawking around agents in the UK, and have a non-fiction book in the works. Looking to learn and absorb, with likely a good deal of lurking.

I was an early member of the WELL, the net’s first virtual community. Way back when.

The experience stayed with me, and Litopia owes quite a debt to those pioneering days.
